Χαιρετε, salvete and hello everybody

Dear Freshers,

You will hear a lot of 'welcome freshers' talk during this week, so I will keep it short and simple.

This academic year will be strange for all of us, many things will change but fear not, Satyrica will still remain this odd place where we laugh at it all and fully commit to geek out about the Classical world we love. We might not fight for chairs in B6, stare at pictures of fat cats and dogs while doing serious translations of serious ancient texts, but we are still the same community who is more than thrilled to welcome you all. So without further ado, it is my absolute pleasure to present you with Satyrica's first fully online Freshers Edition ( also our new website). We have some practical advice for you and some more entraining bits, that we hope you enjoy even just half as much as we did making them. So go for walks, drink and party as much as you can, take part in events organised by the Classics Society, remember to take care of your mental health, eat greens from time to time, and just enjoy being at uni - its a weird and fantastic journey I assure you.

Yours truly,

Agnieszka Arcisz
